Il modello e attore sudcoreano, nato a Seul, in Corea del Sud, è stato scoperto dagli scout ed è entrato nel mondo dello spettacolo all'età di 14 anni. Dopo aver recitato in serie TV e CM in Corea del Sud, si è rivolto al Giappone all'età di 17 anni.
